1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Cohime, Inc. ("Cohime," "we," "us") governing your access to and use of the Cohime mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use Cohime.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You may not create more than one account or transfer your account to another person.
3. Verification
Cohime requires identity verification, including a government-issued ID, a live selfie, and, for drivers, a valid driving licence and vehicle documentation, prior to using ride-matching features. Cohime or its verification partners may conduct background checks as permitted by applicable law. Cohime may deny, suspend, or revoke access based on the outcome of verification or background checks, at its reasonable discretion.
4. The service
Cohime is a technology platform that facilitates carpooling connections between independent riders and drivers. Cohime does not itself provide transportation services and is not a transportation carrier. Drivers using Cohime are independent individuals, not employees or agents of Cohime.
5. User conduct
You agree not to:
- Provide false identity, vehicle, or background information.
- Use the Service for any unlawful, unsafe, harassing, or discriminatory purpose.
- Circumvent safety features, including women-safe matching preferences set by other users.
- Interfere with, reverse-engineer, or misuse the Service or its underlying systems.
- Solicit or arrange rides outside the app to avoid safety checks or fees.
6. Payments & fares
Fares are calculated based on distance, time, and the number of riders sharing a trip, and are processed through our third-party payment provider. Cancellation fees, no-show fees, and applicable taxes may apply as disclosed in the app before you confirm a trip.
7. Safety features
Features such as women-safe matching, live trip sharing, and SOS are provided to support user safety but do not guarantee safety and are not a substitute for your own judgment or for contacting local emergency services when needed. You are responsible for your own conduct and decisions while using the Service.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COHIME WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, OR FOR THE CONDUCT OF ANY RIDER OR DRIVER, WHETHER OR NOT COHIME HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence, where applicable.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Cohime harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
10. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our reasonable discretion, including for safety concerns, failed verification, fraud, or violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
11. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Insert governing jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts or arbitration forum of [Insert venue], as applicable.
12. Changes to these terms
